Richemont Club Portugal hosted on September 2, 3, 4 and 5 the International Richemont Club Meeting, an event that takes place every year in one of the member countries of Club Richemont International. The event was organized with the participation of 120 professionals of the bakery and pastry sector from twelve Richemont clubs around the world: Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, England, Belgium, Luxembourg, Croatia, Serbia, Germany, Peru and Mexico. For four days, these professionals had the opportunity to discover some of the architectural, cultural, gastronomic and natural beauty of some cities and villages in Portugal. They visited the Oficina da Regueifa e do Biscoito in Valongo, where they enjoyed all the ethnographic heritage that has in the regueifa of Valongo and its handmade biscuits, one of its most relevant symbols in the history of bakery in Portugal. They visited the facilities of the company Ferneto, in Vagos, where they had the opportunity to watch a workshop of artisan bakery and pastry made by members of the Clube Richemont Portugal. The participants learned how to make the typical corn bread and pastel de nata, and tasted these two products, major symbols of Portuguese bakery and pastry. They also discovered the unique beauty of the Douro Valley and Trás-os-Montes, visiting Quinta da Pacheca in Régua, having lunch at Quinta da Faísca in Favaios, taking a boat trip in Pinhão and a fascinating visit to Podence, where they had the Caretos as cicerones. On the last day, they had the privilege of discovering the community village of Rio de Onor, in the Natural Park of Montesinho, where, together with the locals, they baked the typical Transmontano rye bread in the village's communitarian oven, bread that was served with a typical lunch.

During the afternoon, the International Richemont Club meeting took place, at Brigantia Eco Park, in the city of Bragança, guided by the President of Richemont International Club, Roberto Peroti, accompanied by the Director of Richemont Fachshule de Lucerna School and by the President of Richemont Club Switzerland, Francois Wolfisberg. During this meeting, new strategies and goals for the future were defined, and the union of all Richemont Club presidents was evident, as well as the commitment to the collective purpose in the implementation of projects and initiatives of Richemont International Club, with a direct impact on the valorisation and promotion of the whole bakery and pastry sector. This was another enormous contribution for the affirmation of Richemont International Club as a reference structure and of world excellence, as an aggregator element of knowledge, Know-How and innovation.

This unique event brought together the Richemont family and allowed countless moments of conviviality, sharing and lots of fun, during which everyone had the opportunity to feel the hospitality and welcome of our people, learn about their cultural and gastronomic traditions and enjoy the natural beauty of the country. A special thanks to all the entities involved, Valongo Municipality, Bragança Municipality, Podence and Rio de Onor Parish Councils, as well as Ferneto, for all the collaboration.
